Well the big debate now is the summer parks
program and they cant figure out who to hire to run it. Well I think that before they hire someone to do this job they need
a set of guide lines for the program and they make sure that Village residents get first pick in the program see as the programs
are limited to the amount of people that they can have at one time. Why should i supplement programs for children that live
outside of town. This needs to be done before they sign a contract for these programs. as recently as last fall the
YMCA complained that they didn't want anyone parking in the parking lot during the Fall Festival Parade. It is only a few
hours on a Sunday afternoon this to me didn't show that they were very community minded. It seems that they are only interested
in the money they can make on the Village. As fare as the HCC the same requirement should be placed on them. The
programs need to be controlled by the Village seeing as the tax payers are paying for it. This $25,000.00 could be used to
make a safe area along Roscoe Rd so the kids wont get hit by cars. Come on guys dont hurry into something without makeing
sure its right. The board will probably approve the waiver
of fees for the park that they charge but as a tat payer I don't think this is a wise idea. This money is figured into the
budget as income and alot of the kids in the program dont live in the village. We put alot of money into the park every
year ( I think $100,000.00 in Thunder Park alone last year) and more into leland and the cost of this is on the backs of the
Village residents. There is nothing wrong with charging for the use of the parks if they dont live in the Village. The fee
that is charged is put back into the park twice fold over a year. CHARGE THE FEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was told
that they put the money into the park yet we are spending $4000.00 for new refrigerators for Thunder Park this month

Development (Waste
of Money) Well now they are going to hire someone to do
economic development. Everyone els in the state is laying people off because they are short of money and we are hiring people
for something that is not necessary at this time. What does our board do for the money we pay them. I know one thing they
is waste money on meetings that are not even needed. A liquor commission meeting for something that could have been
handled by just looking at the police report and a little investigation was pretty stupid. Wasting money on something like hiring this person isa total was of resources that could be used
on other things the village needs is pretty dam stupid. We tried this in the past and got no were with it and now we are doing
it again. We give money to the Rockford Area Eeconomic Association and have yet to get anything from them. This is what I say to the Board get off your asses and doe the work we are paying you to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need more employees like we need a hole in the head especially one that will do nothing for us.
Here we will highlight the key issues in the Village to make visitors to our site familiar with our position.
Well I see in the Rockford Paper that they
are now thinking about making
the residences in town pay for there own garbage pickup. Well this is not acceptable and now is the time to stand up and be
counted. If they decided to do this our taxes should be reduced by that amount or we should be able to contract with our own
garbage hauler. We shouldn't be forced to use a hauler that we don't pick. They pick the last one because it is owned by a
big company in Rockford. The people in town should not have to use a hauler that they didn't pick. Also why should the people
that pay taxes on ther single family residences be punished for the boards mistake. They have never picked up mulit
family units in Roscoe and as fare as the Village is concerned they live in Multi Family units. The village does not
have condo zoning and they are in violation if that is what they live in. The density is higher in these locations and
they produce more trash per sq ft then a single family residence. Don't Punish The Tax Payers For You Not Thinking This Through More
GARBAGE CONTRACT Well, they
are at it again this time they are going to cost the Village $250,000.00 over the next 5 years. What I'm talking about
is the garbage contract that they just received bids on, and it turned out that it was Roscoe Disposal that had the lowest
bid. Roscoe Disposal bid will save the Village about $250,000.00 over the net 5 years.
I guess they think that because it is a small company that they will not be able to take care of the Village. Well,
every company starts out small and deserves a chance if they submit the lowest bid. I won't even get into who owns,
the other company that had the next lowest bid. In this bid, they have added $2.00 a month for pickup of yard waste but I
really see very few people in town that actually recycle yard waste except on their own property. This alone will cost the
village about $72,000.00 a year.
CALL THE VILLAGE TRUSTEES AND DEMAND THAT THEY
SPEND THE TAX PAYERS MONEY RIGHT AND QUIT WASTING IT ON THE GOOD OLD BOYS
