The Village Board wants
to make us pay for their mistakes. I heard they are talking about utility taxes and making us pay for or own garbage pickup.
What are they doing!!!!!! I guess because some of them have very lucrative pensions they do not need the money it must be
nice to get them big pensions from school districts.
The garbage pickup was once included
in that taxes and they took it out and raised the levy in one of the other levies. Therefore, we still pay for it just is
not called the same thing. It was probably put into the general fund if they want to do this they need to lower our taxes
by whatever they levy was and let us choose our own and I would not have any problem with it as long as they used the money
they saved for police protection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We do not want to give them technology they do not
know how to use to save us money anymore because it costs us money in the end. If you are not going to use the computers,
turn them in. Someone also said they saw three of them walk into the back room the other day and have their own little meeting.
This violates the open meetings act and is being reported to the Attorney General. Rob Baxter of all the board members should
know this is against the law he wrote a stories on the board when he worked for the Rockford Paper. DEMAND OPEN GOVERMENT
Annexation Agreement between Mr.
Petry and the Village of Roscoe
2008-05-03 Most Village residents know little about what is really occurring in the Village. Most of the news that you
get is from news papers or TV, and we all know that they only report about half of the truth and tend to make a mountain out
of a mole hill. If you know how to twist the words and only report half truths people can make all kinds of assumptions.
With this site I hope to keep you informed and updated about what is really happening in the village.
I'm a life long residence of the Village and worked as a police officer in Roscoe for 23 years. I retired from the police
department in 2001 after having a brain tumor removed in 1998. I served 8 years on the Kinnikinnick School board and 8
years as a Trustee for the village.
